An Imperial bio-hound The bio-hound was a tracking creation of Biogears Unlimited for use by the Galactic Empire. This construct, a combination of computer technology and living biology, was designed for the purpose of locating and marking specific individuals. The process began by exposing the bio-hound to the target's genetic signature, obtained through biological samples like skin cells or hair. Subsequently, the bio-hound was released onto the target's planet to initiate its search. Upon finding its quarry, the bio-hound had two methods of engagement: either tagging the target with a liquid tracer composed of Heldrium-Bastelt chemical compound, or employing acidic poisons to kill the target. This made it a very effective assassination tool. Once the bio-hound had located its target, it would transmit a continuous signal, with a range extending up to 50,000 kilometers, to a receiver. This receiver then alerted an agent to the target's precise location. Additionally, the receiver could be programmed to detect the chemical compound within a one-kilometer radius, providing a failsafe in case the bio-hound lost track of its target.
The bio-hound's level of intelligence allowed it to adapt its methods and complete tasks to more effectively track its target, including actions like hiding on vehicles. Its malleable organic structure enabled it to alter its shape to suit its environment, a process facilitated by Stimuli Receptors. Its outer surface was covered in a gray mottled Flexi-Skin.
