Firefighter droid
A droid specialized for firefighting duties
Droids designed for firefighting, sometimes called fire-control droids, were specialized for the suppression of fires. Their primary deployment was on space stations and starships.
Distinguishing Features
During the Clone Wars, the firefighter droids that served the Confederacy of Independent Systems had a similar design to the B1-series battle droid, but they were distinguished by a darker color scheme and several yellow stripes. For example, some firefighting battle droids utilized firehoses connected to the Malevolence to extinguish fires in the ship's hangar with powerful streams of foam. The Confederacy abandoned a number of these droids on the planet of Iego. Jaybo Hood later integrated components from these units with parts from other discarded battle droids. On the planet Tyed Kant, Nebula Consumables used firefighter droids that were painted white and crimson.
