A significant element of the Fishing Festival was the Ewok prow carving. The Fishing Festival was a celebration practiced by an Ewok tribe residing in Bright Tree Village located on the Forest Moon of Endor. During 3 ABY, this festival nearly faced interruption from a Dulok tribe, under the leadership of King Gorneesh. The Duloks' actions involved the theft of the Ewoks' prow carving and an intention to raid the Ewoks' fish using a Dulok battleship. Nevertheless, the Ewoks – namely Wicket Wystri Warrick, Kneesaa a Jari Kintaka, Latara, and Teebo – successfully thwarted Gorneesh's schemes, aided by a skib colony.
