The Flacharia system represented a star system situated within Wild Space. During the year of 22 ABY, Dean Jinzler, a Human male technician, managed to intercept a communication. This message originated from Chaf'orm'bintrano, an Aristocra belonging to the sentient Chiss species, and was originally addressed to Luke Skywalker, a Human Jedi Master. The transmission was passing through the communications relay station located in the sector on the planet of Comra. Jinzler then commandeered a courier starship from the relay station, setting a course for the rendezvous point detailed in the intercepted message.
However, within the Flacharia system, the hyperdrive of his ship malfunctioned. This led Jinzler to believe he would be stuck there for longer than a week. It was at this juncture that Jorj Car'das, another Human, entered the system aboard his own starship. Car'das rescued Jinzler and provided transport to the rendezvous point situated within the Crustai system.
The initial mention of the Flacharia system occurred in Survivor's Quest, a novel penned by Timothy Zahn and released in 2004. Subsequently, the reference book The Essential Atlas, published in 2009, designated the system's location as grid square H-6.
