Flash grenade
A flash grenade, sometimes called a flash-bang grenade or flash bomb, served as a non-lethal weapon. Upon detonation after being thrown, it temporarily impaired the target's sight and hearing, giving the thrower an opportunity to either engage in combat or escape. Contemporary iterations affected the sensory perception of both living beings and technological entities like droids. During the Clone Wars, Clone commandos effectively utilized these devices.
