Flowstones arose from the deposition of sheet-like calcite. This occurred as water trickled along cave walls or floors. These formations were usually located in "solution caves," also known as limestone caves, and represent the most frequently encountered type of cave structure. Nevertheless, their creation was possible in any cave environment, given the presence of water carrying dissolved minerals.
The Coway tribes, who dwelled underground on the planet Mimban, crafted spears and various tools utilizing flowstone.
