Forum:NB:Resignation

It is with deep regret that I must announce my departure from the positions of bureaucrat and administrator here on Wookieepedia. The demands of my offline life have significantly reduced the amount of time I can spend online, and I've had very few opportunities to contribute edits in the last year, much less fulfill my official duties and obligations. Perhaps in the coming months, I'll once again have time to edit (assuming my personal reservations about the current canon situation are resolved), but I doubt that I will ever have the necessary time and focus to properly dedicate myself to this role. I extend my gratitude to all of you for the time you've given me during my tenure - I am not exaggerating when I say that being granted the privilege of serving in this capacity has been one of my most cherished accomplishments. However, my pride has obscured the fact that I have not been adequately fulfilling the responsibilities that come with it for quite some time, and it is now time for me to acknowledge that. I offer my best wishes to you all as the site continues to evolve, and I hope to have the opportunity to collaborate with you again in this evolving Star Wars canon landscape if my workload ever decreases. Once again, thank you. jSarek (talk) 06:22, September 11, 2014 (UTC)

• J, we appreciate your assistance over the years. Your contributions have been vital to Wookieepedia's success. We hope to see you again in the future. -- Riffsyphon1024 06:27, September 11, 2014 (UTC)
• It saddens me to see another long-standing member of the community leave. However, "you must do what you think is right, of course." ;-) You have been a valuable contributor for many years, and your contributions to both this wiki and the former Expanded Universe will be fondly remembered. --Lelal Mekha 09:26, September 11, 2014 (UTC)
