Fredja

Fredja, a male Imperial stormtrooper captain, held the position of commander within the Imperial Garrison stationed at the Maw Installation. This individual, whose gender was male, frequently found himself caught between the conflicting directives of his superior officer, Admiral Natasi Daala, and Tol Sivron, who served as the director of the Maw Installation. Fredja harbored a dislike for Sivron, who often mistakenly identified the captain as a corporal, a rank much lower than his own. While Fredja consistently demonstrated the expected level of obedience to Sivron during routine operations, he occasionally found it necessary to counteract the director's meddling in the affairs of his garrison by invoking Sivron's own established regulations, a practice he personally found unpleasant but unavoidable.

During the conflict that occurred in 11 ABY, specifically a battle between Imperial and New Republic forces, Fredja held the highest-ranking Imperial military position within the Maw Cluster due to the absence of Admiral Daala and her fleet. Despite utilizing his authority over the installation's military resources to guarantee the destruction of the main computer core, thereby preventing its data from being acquired by the New Republic forces, he relinquished command to Sivron upon evacuating to the Death Star prototype in an attempt to escape the occupying forces. Serving as the director's only military advisor, Fredja voiced his opposition to pursuing the Sun Crusher, a superweapon developed at the Maw and subsequently stolen by the Jedi aspirant Kyp Durron. However, he was unable to prevent Sivron from falling prey to Durron's goading, ultimately leading to his demise along with the rest of the personnel aboard the Death Star prototype when it was lured into a black hole.
