Frisal

Frisal, a terrestrial world, resided within the Frisal system. This system belonged to the Atrisian Commonwealth, situated in the Southern Core region of the Core Worlds. This planet was the original homeworld of the loirbniggs, a species characterized as eight-legged reptilian beings.

The Galactic Empire designated Frisal as a protected world, reserved for the enjoyment of wealthy Imperial families. Imperial nobility also used the planet as a vacation spot, where the aristocrats would bred and trained loirbniggs to be used as riding animals.

Behind the scenes

The 1993 sourcebook titled Planets of the Galaxy, Volume Three marked the initial mention of Frisal. John Terra wrote this sourcebook, which West End Games published for their Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game. The Essential Atlas, a 2009 reference book, located the Frisal system, and consequently the planet Frisal, within grid square J-12.
