The full-spectrum distortion projector served as an element within the 4x-Phantom Short-Range Sensor Jammer. This jammer was produced by Miradyne Limited for integration into the RZ-1 A-wing interceptor. Through the use of wide-ranging transmissions, this component aimed to obstruct all scanners and targeting computers, thus disrupting the ability of sensors to lock onto the A-wing.
