Galaxy Guide 5: Return of the Jedi

Galaxy Guide 5: Return of the Jedi represents a supplementary work for Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game, crafted by Michael Stern and brought to the public by West End Games back in 1990. It is presented as a research undertaking by a historian working for the Rebel Alliance, adopting an in-universe perspective.

This guide provides character descriptions, including RPG statistics, for both primary and some supporting characters featured in the film Star Wars: Episode VI Return of the Jedi. Notably, this publication was the first to establish comprehensive backstories for numerous characters seen in the movie.

A second edition of this reference material saw release in 1995.

From the publisher

On the arid planet of Tatooine, Han Solo, celebrated hero of Yavin, is imprisoned in carbonite within the fortress of Jabba the Hutt. Yoda, the last surviving Jedi Master of renown, is nearing his end. The Rebellion's future hangs precariously as the new Death Star battle station approaches full operational status. Luke Skywalker is destined to face his father, the imposing Darth Vader. Thus unfolds Return of the Jedi, the concluding chapter of the most epic space fantasy ever conceived.

Within these pages, discover the backgrounds, personality traits, and intriguing stories of the adversaries and champions, the Humans and extraterrestrials, and the creatures and automatons that populate Return of the Jedi. The book culminates in an adventure unfolding on Endor in the immediate aftermath of the second Death Star's destruction.
