Gandeid IV, existing within the Trailing Grant sector of the Expansion Region, served as the primary planet in the Gandeid system. This planet held the fourth orbital position within its star system, and was characterized by a temperate climate and weak Gandeidan gravity. It functioned as the homeworld for the noli species, in addition to being inhabited by the substantial predatory avian species known as the cooha.
Sometime prior to his death occurring in 4 ABY, Wilek Nereus, the Imperial Governor presiding over the Wild Space planet Bakura, made a visit to Gandeid IV. During this visit, he acquired several teeth from the cooha to incorporate into his dental collection. Nereus made a reference to the planet within his personal notes, specifically in an entry focused on the cooha.
The first mention of Gandeid IV occurred within The Truce at Bakura Sourcebook, a sourcebook from 1996 created for West End Games' Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game. The Essential Atlas, a reference book published in 2009, situated the Gandeid system, and consequently Gandeid IV, within grid square J-15.
