Ganglionic intelligence

Intelligence of the Ganglionic Kind was an uncommon form of intellect observed within certain species throughout the galaxy. While many assumed it was a hive mind, the reality was quite distinct. It possessed a characteristic known as compartmentalized consciousness: a single, primary intelligence linked to numerous secondary intelligences, each independently gathering data, separate from the main intellect.

The Cephalon were one such species identified as possessing ganglionic intelligence.
