Gary Rydstrom


Gary Rydstrom is a sound expert and film director from the United States. He has been honored with seven Academy Awards for his contributions to the sound design of movies like Jurassic Park (1993), Titanic (1997), and Saving Private Ryan (1998). In addition to his involvement with Star Wars, Rydstrom contributed to other Lucasfilm projects. He was an audio technician for Indiana Jones and the Template of Doom (1984), a sound designer for Captain EO (1986) and Willow (1988), and the director of Strange Magic (2015). Rydstrom also participated in the Star Wars parody Spaceballs.

He is also a member of the Intellectual Property Development Group.
