Gavon Kroan, a sergeant in the Galactic Republic, was a human male stationed on the planet of Hoth amidst the Galactic War. He was based at the Drift Hills Republic depot, and from there, he dispatched the initial team of Recon Company, soldiers whom he had directly instructed, for a standard patrol of the adjacent caverns. As their return was overdue, his concern grew, leading him to request a capable Republic agent to conduct a rescue operation. Because of his prompt intervention, every soldier made it back to the base unharmed.
