Generis Base was the designation given to the Rebel Alliance installation situated on Generis. This facility housed the Outer Rim Communications Center, the Sector Headquarters, and the sector's starfighter operational hub. Due to its original purpose not being for starfighters, the base suffered from rudimentary maintenance capabilities and a shortage of both mechanics and replacement components. Positioned near a hiridui crystal formation at the planet's southern pole, Generis Base also included several supply storage areas for the sector. The Communications Center found itself under the control of Grand Admiral Thrawn, only to be reclaimed by the Republic, who then proceeded to enlarge the complex.
