Gentle Giant Studios, a company specializing in the areas of scanning, digital modeling, and sculpting, played a role in the production of Episode II. While on set, they performed digital scans on a variety of props to preserve them for future use.
Gentle Giant is known for creating and distributing a well-known series of exclusive Star Wars sculptures and character busts.
