The warrior-mantid species referred to as the Ghishi originated on their homeworld, which shares the same name, and their history is considered part of galactic legends. These beings, characterized by their slender and elongated forms, possessed extended, insect-like appendages and prominent orange eyes. A notable figure among the Ghishi was Kraid Nemmeso, who achieved fame in the podracing arena towards the end of the Galactic Republic's reign, in its final years. Their planet was also known as Ghishi.
