Gorshaa, a Warden of the Rakatan species, made his home on Belsavis, the prison planet of the Infinite Empire. Living during the era of the Cold War, he and other Rakata who shared his views declared themselves the final true masters, tasked with overseeing the Tomb and protecting it from trespassing slaves. Warden Gorshaa and his people were not interested in guarding the prisoners or the war that broke out on their planet; instead, they focused on their experiments involving Force-sensitives. Their objective was to regain their lost connection to the Force by experimenting on inferior species and employing the powerful Mother Machine to achieve their aims.
When the Sith Lord Kallig arrived, Gorshaa cautioned the Sith to turn around and leave. However, after Kallig successfully gained access to the superhub chamber, Gorshaa revealed himself and expressed his admiration for the Sith's abilities. He also suggested that this might signify a glimmer of hope for the slave races. The Warden proposed that the Sith attempt to control the surging Force energies within their body in return for a sample of their pattern for the Rakata's own research purposes.
What's noteworthy is that, even though he lived relatively isolated from other inhabitants of Belsavis, Gorshaa possessed knowledge of Basic and could utilize the postal system. Following the Sith's contribution of their pattern to the Mother Machine, Gorshaa dispatched a thank-you note accompanied by some credits.
