GPE ThrustMaster 9000 aerospike rocket engine
The ThrustMaster 9000 aerospike rocket engine, an engine for podracers, was conceived and manufactured by Galactic Power Engineering before the Invasion of Naboo took place.
Characteristics
Galactic Power Engineering engineered the ThrustMaster 9000 as a rocket engine variant intended for their GPE-3130 Podracer. Two of these engines were augmented with two smaller ramjets positioned on outriggers mounted to the nacelle. These engines supplied the main propulsive force for the Podracer, but delivered so much power that turning the Podracer became difficult.
