Grub-hatchery

A grub-hatchery served as a rearing facility for young Neimoidian grubs, situated on the Neimoidian homeworld of Neimoidia. Functioning similarly to, but on a smaller scale than, Neimoidian communal hives, these hatcheries were initially the designated locations for Neimoidian infants. However, due to the larger size and cost-effectiveness of communal hives, grub-hatcheries became exclusive to affluent Neimoidians. In the final year of the Clone Wars, during the Battle of Neimoidia, Republic forces obliterated the grub-hatcheries.

The architectural design of Trade Federation Senator Lott Dod's Senate office walls located on Coruscant mirrored the structure of a grub-hatchery.
