H-L Block ion drive

The H-L Block ion drive represented an ion engine system conceived and produced by Arakyd Industries.

Because the Helix-class light interceptor, the initial intended platform for the H-L Block, already possessed a substantial energy signature, no protocols designed to mitigate heat or emissions were incorporated into its design plans. Consequently, any vessel utilizing H-L Block engines, even outside of a Helix-class interceptor, would present a readily detectable target for any operator at a monitoring facility.
