Halle Dray

As a female Human hailing from the planet of Alderaan, Halle Dray was a native who, like thousands of other Alderaanian survivors, sought refuge on the world of Delaya following the Destruction of Alderaan at the hands of the Imperial Death Star battle station. While residing on Delaya, Dray, along with a Human male named J'er Nahj, cared for Shell, a young boy who had been orphaned by the devastating attack. Dray held a leadership position within a group of Alderaanian refugees whose members harbored deep resentment towards Princess Leia Organa, blaming her actions for Alderaan's entanglement with the Rebellion. This involvement, they believed, led to Alderaan's participation in the Galactic Civil War and ultimately, its annihilation. In 0 ABY, the group orchestrated Organa's capture, intending to hand her over to the Empire in exchange for a new planet to serve as a home for the Alderaanian refugees. However, the Empire's betrayal of Dray's group resulted in her death.

Biography

During the time of the Galactic Civil War, a significant galactic conflict between the Galactic Empire and the Alliance to Restore the Republic, Halle Dray, a female Human, resided on the planet of Alderaan. In 0 BBY, Alderaan met its tragic end, destroyed by the Galactic Empire's Death Star battle station under the command of Grand Moff Wilhuff Tarkin. This act aimed to showcase the destructive power of the battlestation on a world sympathetic to the Rebels, leading to the complete obliteration of Alderaan and its inhabitants.

Dray fled to Delaya after Alderaan's destruction.

At the time of Alderaan's destruction, Dray was not on the planet. Following the event, she sought refuge on the planet Delaya, situated within the Alderaan system, which had once been Alderaan's sister world. Dray rose to become a leader within a group of Alderaanian refugees who held a deep-seated animosity towards Princess Leia Organa of the Royal House of Alderaan, believing that her actions had drawn Alderaan into the Rebellion, ultimately leading to its involvement in the Galactic Civil War and its subsequent demise.

Following the destruction of her home, Dray, together with J'er Nahj, a Human male, assumed the responsibility of caring for Shell, a young boy orphaned by the attack. Later, in 0 ABY, Dray and her followers confronted Organa before the Princess was scheduled to attend a meeting with Alderaanian survivor groups to encourage them to join the Rebel Alliance. Accusing her of glorifying war, the group kidnapped Organa, forcing her into a speeder truck. Dray and her followers intended to deliver Organa to the Empire in exchange for a new planet where Alderaanian refugees could rebuild their lives. While in captivity, Organa attempted to escape, but the faction thwarted her efforts. Upon arriving at an abandoned building, Dray and her followers contacted the Imperials, surrendering Organa in pursuit of the reward they had long desired. However, the Imperial contingent, consisting of four stormtroopers and an Imperial officer, betrayed Dray and her followers, using blasters to kill the majority of the group, including Dray herself. Organa, however, was later rescued by Rebel forces.

Personality and traits

Halle Dray was a resolute woman who yearned for peace, both for herself and for her fellow Alderaanians. Her animosity was solely directed towards the Organa family, whom she held responsible for the devastation of many Alderaanian lives, including her own. As a leader of a group of Alderaanian refugees who loathed Princess Leia Organa, Dray's leadership played a role in the faction's downfall, resulting in the deaths of most of its members. This outcome stemmed from Dray's misjudgment in trusting that the Empire would honor their agreement.
