Hamelin, a Human male senior commander, fought for the Alliance to Restore the Republic throughout the Galactic Civil War. He oversaw an Alliance base situated on the planet of Aargonar 3, located within the Mid Rim. After the Imperial forces successfully invaded and took control of the planet, Hamelin's troops retreated to a secluded asteroid. Sometime after the destruction of the Death Star I, Hamelin then led a starfighter squadron in attacks on Imperial convoys.
