Hang-glider

The sky-glider, more commonly referred to as a hang-glider or hang glider, was conceived by the Ewoks. This resourceful, albeit primitive, species cleverly utilized their environment to create a diverse array of implements. The hang glider was just one of their many creations, which also encompassed catapults, various portable weapons, extensive settlements built within trees, and a multitude of traps.

Attributes

The process of constructing a hang glider began with an Ewok hunting and killing several large animals. The animals were then skinned; their hides were stretched and dried to create a resilient leather. Subsequently, these hides were stitched together and affixed to a basic frame constructed from a uniquely robust and lightweight wood.

Background

Initially, the hang gliders were likely employed for the simple purpose of transporting Ewoks across the forest canopy. In time, they began to carry rocks, spears, and slings, using them to hunt smaller animals from the air. The Ewoks quickly discovered that these very same weapons could be turned against formidable creatures like the Gorax for defense. Moreover, with the assistance of the Wisties who guided them through treacherous air currents, the Ewoks were able to extinguish a forest fire by dropping Master Logray's magic foam from their gliders.

Consequently, when the Ewoks chose to support the Rebels, their vast experience with hang gliders proved invaluable, giving them a tactical edge over the ground-based stormtroopers.

During the Battle of Endor, the Ewoks also made an attempt, though unsuccessful, to utilize their gliders against All Terrain Scout Transports.
