Garnet subsequently executed a rescue mission, liberating Carrow from the clutches of the M-Class Imperial Attack Transport named Regina Cayli.
During the era of the Galactic Civil War, Hawk Carrow engaged in smuggling activities, often acting as a co-pilot for Roark Garnet on his vessel, the Dorion Discus. While attempting an unplanned delivery to the planet of New Bakstre, the Dorion Discus was forced to land due to the actions of Imperial Customs cruisers. Carrow sustained a leg injury from stormtrooper fire originating from the Imperial M-Class Imperial Attack Transport Regina Cayli, resulting in his capture. Within the infirmary of the ship, a medical droid administered a healing sheath to Carrow's injured leg. Garnet, having successfully avoided capture by the Empire, managed to infiltrate the Regina Cayli and successfully rescued Carrow.
At a later point, Carrow, along with the Wookiee spacer named Nagraoao, were apprehended by the Empire and subsequently imprisoned within the Spice Mines of Kessel. Roark Garnet piloted the Dorion Discus to the Kessel system with the intention of rescuing his companions, but his ship was intercepted by a Star Destroyer for inspection. Garnet resorted to bribing the Navy officer in order to secure his release.
