Hazmat suit

Padmé Amidala wearing hazmat gear A hazmat suit, alternatively known as bio-hazard suit or hazmat gear, served as a type of protective garment. Its function was to shield individuals from hazardous environments or poisonous substances.

During the search for Nuvo Vindi's laboratory situated on Naboo, Senator Padmé Amidala along with Representative Jar Jar Binks donned yellow hazmat suits. Amidala and Binks subsequently utilized these suits again when some of Vindi's airborne version of the Blue Shadow Virus was released within the lab. However, as they worked to eliminate the battle droids that were trying to escape the facility, Amidala's suit was breached, which resulted in her infection. Doctor Vindi himself employed a hazmat gear variation. This consisted of a sealed glass hood that allowed him to breathe as he attempted to escape from his contaminated laboratory.
