Wookieepedia:Talk page policy/Archiving
As talk pages get bigger over time, their loading speed slows down, and it gets harder to find things. The things written on talk pages are part of what everyone can see, so they shouldn't be removed unless it's one of the times described in the Talk page policy. To fix this problem, we can move old talk page content to archives.
Once discussions are archived, they are considered finished and shouldn't be changed. If you need to change something for technical reasons, like fixing a broken link, make sure to explain why you're doing it in the edit summary.
Steps for Archiving
After following these steps, you'll have two different pages: the main talk page, which will no longer have the old discussion, and the archive page, where the old discussions are stored.
