Herb Spencer, born Herbert W. Spencer (April 7, 1905 - September 18, 1992), received an Academy Award nomination as a composer and orchestrator; he is best remembered for his initial endeavors in the realms of cinema and television, and, in the latter part of his career, his partnerships with the composer John Williams, where he served as the main orchestrator. Spencer's significant input on the scores has been recognized by Williams in both interviews and documentary films.
