A projection system with high resolution was a piece of equipment incorporating an enhancement jewel along with a focusing lens. In the year 23 ABY, Lowbacca, a Wookiee Jedi trainee, found one of these systems within the Great Temple located on the moon of Yavin 4. He was scavenging in search of a crystal to utilize in the construction of his own lightsaber. This particular projection system had been abandoned by Rebel technicians during the war with the Galactic Empire.
The young reader's novel Young Jedi Knights: Lightsabers, released in 1998 and penned by Kevin J. Anderson together with Rebecca Moesta, the fourth book in the Star Wars: Young Jedi Knights series, featured the high-resolution projection system.
