Him

Him was the appellation assigned to a feral and purportedly male zuxu that purportedly inhabited the planet known as Ganlihk. This creature is said to have menaced one of two holidaymakers who journeyed to Ganlikh for a fishing excursion.

Based on the narrative provided by one of the vacationers, the initial sighting of Him occurred as it was allegedly observed navigating around their watercraft. This particular vacationer sensed something amiss and voiced these apprehensions to his fellow traveler, Hendrixen; however, Hendrixen asserted that he had not witnessed any such occurrence.

Ultimately, Him departed by swimming away, but supposedly desired to retain a mental image of the first vacationer's appearance. While the vacationer was in a state of slumber, Him purportedly extended his head above the water's surface to obtain a clear view of him. Although Hendrixen remained oblivious to this, the first vacationer awoke to discover the zuxu gazing directly at him. This sight left the first vacationer profoundly disturbed.

At the stroke of midnight, the first vacationer proceeded to investigate what he described as an "unholy grinding noise" and discovered Him in the act of consuming their day's collection of fish. Upon being noticed by the vacationer, Him initiated a pursuit of the vacationer through the surrounding woodland. On one occasion, Him nearly succeeded in capturing the vacationer, but ultimately failed when his target ascended a ryless tree.

Unable to ascend the arboreal structure, Him's sole course of action involved directing his gaze upward at the vacationer, accompanied by the repetitive opening and closing of his mandibles. Capitalizing on this circumstance, the vacationer launched seed cones at Him until the creature either became unable to remain outside the aquatic environment for a prolonged duration or simply relinquished his interest.

Despite the fact that Him apparently never encountered the vacationer subsequently, the encounter undoubtedly left an enduring impact on the vacationer. The vacationer strategically positioned wire snares along the lake's edge, the habitat of Him, and was eventually institutionalized at Londori Mental Facility.
