Horace Wyrmyr, the Academy Dean presiding over the Academy of Carida, took part in the proceedings concerning the dismissal of Cadet Mako Spince. Wyrmyr resided at the Dean's Residence and was the last of seventeen deans to employ ZZ-4Z as his housekeeper, an arrangement he found unfavorable.
The character of Horace Wyrmyr is an allusion to Dean Wormer from the motion picture Animal House.
