These human-like beings were identifiable by their thick, prominent hair located on both their heads and eyebrows. Their skin tone was characteristically yellowish. Hrakians typically reached a height of 1.8 meter on average and possessed a lifespan that could exceed 85 years.

Hraki, characterized by towering mountains and lush, stream-filled jungles, evolved into a significant trading hub within its region. This transformation was largely due to the expansion of Vorzyd V and the presence of other species in the vicinity.

Hrakians were known as a courageous and resourceful species, recognized for their dependability and tenacity. They favored simplicity over complexity. Hrakians were capable of accomplishing a great deal when focused on a task. However, they sometimes displayed a somewhat apathetic and unenthusiastic demeanor, often opting for the path of least resistance.

The Hrakians were skilled combatants and well-known as spacers. The sight of Hrakians' large freighter ships were a common occurrence within the Vorzyd Sector. The Hrakians maintained an embassy located in Efavan on Vorzyd V. They were not particularly sophisticated and exhibited little interest in political matters. Hrakians were content with the promise of credits and the prospect of a cantina visit upon completion of a job.

The Hrakians played a vital role in the development of the Commonality. They utilized their freight ships to transport numerous workers to Vorzyd V. Hraki Intracluster Transport was one of the most prominent Hrakian corporations.

During 1 ABY, Luke Skywalker, Leia Organa, R2-D2, and C-3PO journeyed to Vorzyd V on a clandestine mission for the Rebel Alliance. They were briefly captured and held aboard a Hrakian vessel by Blackhole. The droids managed to infiltrate the ship with the assistance of a drunken Hrakian named Branox.
