The hyperspace pulsemass generator represented an unproven weapon system related to hyperspace and brought into being by the Galactic Empire.
Description
This generator, a product of the IDMR, functioned by producing minuscule hyperenergy orbs that were then dispersed across a section of space. Should a ship enter this affected region, these hyperenergy orbs would rapidly breach its deflector shield and cause its destruction.
Despite its destructive capability, a significant shortcoming existed: the hyperenergy orbs possessed a very short lifespan, dissipating within mere minutes. This severely restricted the generator's practical application, although Imperial scientists did attempt to refine and enhance the technology.
