Ihopek, a planet, was abandoned by Imperial forces following the Battle of Endor, alongside Narth. During this withdrawal, the Star Destroyer named Gnisnal was destroyed by a series of internal blasts. This event handed over a wealth of intelligence to the New Republic, which included a full version of the Imperial Order of battle.
Within Before the Storm, this planet appeared in two separate instances, once as Ihopek and another time as Ipotek. There is ambiguity regarding the intended designation of the world by author Michael P. Kube-McDowell. The Star Wars Encyclopedia recorded the first name, and subsequent reference works adopted that spelling.
