Imperial convoy raid

In the time period just before the Battle of Yavin, a Rebel Alliance squadron of starfighters attacked a Galactic Empire convoy. Protecting the convoy was a EF76 Nebulon-B escort frigate, which deployed twenty-four TIE/LN starfighters against the Rebels. Biggs Darklighter, a pilot on his inaugural mission for the rebellion, shot down five of these TIE fighters. However, Amil Karsk, a fellow rebel pilot, took credit for Darklighter's third kill, thereby achieving ace status for himself and preventing Darklighter from doing so. Wedge Antilles participated in the battle on the Rebel side as well.
