During the Battle of Sullust, Imperial vessels neared the Independence task force. The Independence task force consisted of Rebel Alliance forces, led by the Mon Calamari Star Cruiser known as the Independence.
Prior to the gathering at Sullust, the task force was escorting the Independence when they came under attack from the Imperial II-class Star Destroyer named Immortal alongside two Victory II-class Star Destroyers: the Protector and the Vanguard.
