The inside-outside room existed as a component of the private living spaces belonging to the House of Organa within the Aldera Royal Palace. A complete wall in this room was constructed from transparisteel doors, allowing for an unobstructed vista of the family's exclusive gardens. During the initial years of the Imperial Period, the royal family's members frequently congregated in this room during both morning and evening to observe the setting sun. Leia Organa, the Crown Princess of Alderaan, originated the designation "inside-outside room" during her childhood.
