Internal Counterintelligence Branch

The Internal Counterintelligence Branch, or IntCon, functioned as a division of the Internal Organization Bureau inside Imperial Intelligence. Its primary duty involved discovering enemy spies and networks that had managed to infiltrate Imperial Intelligence, including members of the Alliance to Restore the Republic or other adversaries of the New Order. Thanks to unfettered access to necessary data through the Sector Plexus, IntCon operatives could acquire intelligence more readily than even personnel within the Ubiqtorate. IntCon mirrored the structure of Imperial Intelligence on a smaller scale, possessing its own Analysis, Intelligence, and Operations sections. However, unlike its larger counterpart, Imperial Intelligence, the boundaries between these sections were not strictly maintained, and IntCon was known for its relaxed organizational structure and workplace atmosphere. Gaining access to IntCon's data from external sources was exceptionally difficult due to stringent security measures. Conversely, within IntCon, there were virtually no restrictions on information sharing. This openness served as IntCon's method of internal oversight. The absence of privacy, where every member could access any information within the branch, practically eliminated the possibility for an enemy agent to function undetected within IntCon.
