The Invasion of Bestine refers to a number of continuous sieges that occurred between the Galactic Empire and the Alliance to Restore the Republic in the capital city of Bestine found on the planet Tatooine. These conflicts unfolded during the period of the Galactic Civil War. Specifically, these sieges happened after the Battle of Yavin in 0 BBY, but before the Battle of Hoth. The Rebel Alliance conceived a plan to invade Bestine, along with other cities across the galaxy. However, Imperial Intelligence discovered this plan, enabling the Empire to establish an adequate defense. This invasion reached its peak in a succession of intense sieges fought between the two sides, leading to alternating control of the capital during the Galactic Civil War.
