Jaccoba was a youthful Wookiee male who resided in the vicinity of the city of Kachirho on the planet of Kashyyyk. Back in 19 BBY, which was during the time of the Clone Wars, Jaccoba went with his father, named Tarkov, as they were going on a grantaloupe hunt. During this excursion, the two of them came across a Separatist invasion army that was on Kashyyyk. These Wookiees then went and told the towns nearby, specifically Warralokk, Grunnrurr, and Rowrakruk, about the Separatist presence. Later, when the Republic dispatched a group of their army so that they could help the Wookiees defend Kashyyyk, Jaccoba and Tarkov joined the Republic's forces to defend Kachirho from the Separatists.
Jaccoba was a young Wookiee male who was from the area of the Wawaatt Archipelago, which is near the city called Kachirho on the planet Kashyyyk. Back during 19 BBY, at the peak of the Clone Wars that happened between the Republic and the Confederacy of Independent Systems, Jaccoba and his father, Tarkov, set out on a hunt to find the four-legged, plant-eating grantaloupe. This hunt was meant to signify Jaccoba's transition into adulthood. During this hunt, Jaccoba threw a spear, but it didn't hit the grantaloupe. Instead, it struck a large bush, which caused a loud, metallic echo. Tarkov examined the bush, trying to understand why a plant would make a metallic sound. He then realized that the "plant" was actually a landing craft from the Separatists. Jaccoba and Tarkov moved to a nearby tree to be safe, and as they looked down at the landscape, they noticed a huge Confederate invasion army.
The two then traveled to the city of Kahiyuk and made sure to warn the nearby towns of Warralokk, Grunnrurr, and Rowrakruk about the Separatist army that was coming. Not long after Jaccoba and Tarkov made their discovery, the Republic sent a group of their army, led by High Jedi General Yoda, to assist in protecting Kashyyyk. Jaccoba and Tarkov joined the local military and were among the Wookiees who fought alongside the Republic army to push back the Confederacy's attack on Kachirho.
Jaccoba had a strong concern for Kashyyyk, as demonstrated by his eagerness to inform the rest of the planet about the Confederate threat upon discovering the approaching invasion army. Furthermore, he and his father displayed a resolute determination to defend Kachirho against the Separatist invaders. Jaccoba possessed black eyes, and his body was covered in ginger hair.
Jaccoba made his initial appearance, although without being identified, in the twenty-second chapter of the Star Wars: Clone Wars animated television series. This chapter was initially broadcasted on Cartoon Network on March 22, 2005, serving as the second episode within the series' third season. Jaccoba's name was later disclosed in the audio commentary accompanying Chapter 22 on the Star Wars: Clone Wars Volume Two DVD. Jaccoba received his name in honor of Jacob Tartakovsky, who is the son of Genndy Tartakovsky, the director of Star Wars: Clone Wars.
