Janus Bonn

Janus Bonn was a captain within the Imperial Military of the Galactic Empire. This Human male was originally from the planet of Corulag. Born to a family of considerable wealth and noble status, he received an elite education before enlisting in service to the New Order after his graduation. Through his service, he ascended the ranks and became an assistant to the Supreme Commander, Darth Vader.

Biography

Born on the Core World of Corulag, Janus Bonn was the offspring of a rich noble. He was raised in the Human High Culture promoted by the Galactic Empire, and he was sent to the best university possible, and he graduated with high honors. Following his graduation, he volunteered for the Imperial Military. Early in his career as an officer, Bonn became an adjutant to Darth Vader, the Supreme Commander. His progression through the military mirrored the Dark Lord's own rise to power, marked by demonstrations of force, treachery, and even murder to distinguish himself in a relatively short time. Bonn attained the rank of captain around the same period that Lord Vader was assigned to support Grand Moff Wilhuff Tarkin in the Death Star project.

After the devastating Battle of Yavin and the death of Governor Tarkin, Lord Vader's authority expanded, leading him to command Death Squadron, a fleet tasked with locating the elusive Rebel Fleet. During this period, Lord Vader instructed Captain Bonn to set up a trap for the Heroes of Yavin within the Alderaan system. This plan involved spreading rumors that the Aldera Royal Palace had been discovered undamaged in the debris field of the planet Yavin, and that Viceroy Bail Prestor Organa was still alive. With two platoons of stormtroopers under his command, Bonn awaited the Heroes of Yavin at Mining Outpost 11 in the Alderaan system, knowing that Vader would soon arrive. The captain's objective was straightforward: to prevent the Rebels from escaping until his master's arrival.

Personality and traits

Bonn, a Human male, stood at a height of 1.8 meters. He sported a full goatee and was known for his emotionless, piercing eyes that instilled fear in his subordinates. His gaze, together with his efficient and cold demeanor, earned him the moniker "The Dead Man" among his soldiers. However, his detached and unemotional conduct was a mere facade; beneath the surface, Bonn harbored a deep well of malevolence, fear, hatred, and violent tendencies. When challenged, his composure would falter, revealing his true nature to the point where his sanity was questioned.

As a captain, Bonn was an ardent supporter of Emperor Palpatine and his New Order, also being fiercely loyal to Lord Vader. Despite his devotion to the Sith Lord, he neither believed in nor respected the Force. He valued tangible results, a quality in which his master excelled, despite the setback at Yavin 4. When assigned a mission by the Dark Lord of the Sith, Bonn considered it of utmost importance, believing that failure would render his existence meaningless. Captain Bonn was among the select few officers, including Commander Daine Jir, General Maximilian Veers, Admiral Firmus Piett, Lieutenant Erv Lekauf, Grand Admirals Thrawn and Demetrius Zaarin, whom Lord Vader held in high regard.

Equipment

Bonn was equipped with a standard Imperial officer's uniform, a comlink, a blaster, and grenades.
