Jokhalli

The Jokhalli were a sentient species native to Blimph 3. Displaying four arms, elongated snouts, and antennae, they bore a strong resemblance to the Dug. Their skin typically presented a greenish hue, with leaders often exhibiting a brighter variation. This species communicated using Baragwinian and demonstrated a penchant for both commerce and games of chance. The Jokhalli considered themselves unparalleled in the creation of dice for divot, their preferred gambling pursuit. Certain Jokhalli individuals exhibited xenophobic tendencies, marked by a disdain for outsiders on their home world and an attitude of superiority concerning trade and gambling matters. Nevertheless, their familiarity with the trade language of the Baragwin suggests a degree of interaction, if not comfort, with individuals from other planets.

History

Sometime following the Battle of Hoth, the Hutt known as Quaffug established Blimph 3 as the central hub for his criminal operations. Quaffug struck a deal with the Jokhalli, managing their trade practices in return for access to the moon. Lando Calrissian journeyed to Blimph 3 with the intention of brokering a peaceful agreement with the Hutt, but he was swiftly captured and made the target of an elaborate hunting game. This hunt ultimately placed Calrissian in the custody of the Jokhalli, who had grown fiercely protective of their territory after the occupation of their moon. Calrissian eventually secured his release from the Jokhalli by outperforming them at divot. Subsequently, Calrissian engaged in negotiations with the Jokhalli leader, Utrop, convincing him that he could secure a significantly more favorable trade arrangement than the Hutt had offered. With the Jokhalli's support, Calrissian spearheaded the overthrow of Quaffug, yet he insisted on sparing Quaffug's life. The Jokhalli were unwilling to allow Quaffug to escape without retribution, and Utrop demanded a duel of honor to determine Quaffug's fate. Calrissian prevailed over the Jokhalli warrior, saving Quaffug's life. The Jokhalli later regained control of their moon and established a new partnership with a different trading entity.
