Jossie was a member of the Coruscant Security Force; specifically, it was an akk dog. This animal would go on patrol around the planet of Coruscant alongside its handler, who was a police officer. When Order 66 was executed, branding all Jedi as enemies of the Galactic Republic, Jossie and its handler were patrolling in a CSF assault ship with the ship's pilot, Vil, plus Republic Commandos Darman and Niner.
Karen Traviss penned Order 66: A Republic Commando Novel, in which Jossie made an appearance; it was released on September 16, 2008.
