A page from the journal During the time of the Great Galactic War, Darth Malgus maintained a war journal known as the Journal of Darth Malgus. Decades prior to the emergence of his Galactic Empire, Darth Sidious obtained this journal via an antiquities dealer. In an effort to provide inspiration, Sidious then gifted the journal to his apprentice, Darth Vader. Vader, after reading it, observed a multitude of parallels between his own life and that of Malgus. He added extensive notes to the surviving fragments of the journal, and lamented the fact that more of it had not been preserved.
