The Juggernaut 510 Combat Power Armor, a rare type of assault powersuit, was created by the Cozzell Corporation.
This powersuit offered complete protection for the entire body from both kinetic and energy-based attacks. It also featured a temperature-regulated body glove. Furthermore, it amplified the wearer's physical strength and included a 180-degree macrobinocular vision system, complete with a Multi-Frequency Targeting and Acquisition System. Included with the armor was a portable medium repeating blaster, and a grenade launcher was affixed to the left shoulder. In addition, the left gauntlet contained a set of claws that could be retracted. A significant drawback was the suit's bulkiness and slowness. Also, the power transfer conduits on the back lacked sufficient armor, making them vulnerable to blaster fire, which could disable the medium blaster and grenade launcher.
The Juggernaut armors were designed to be used by mercenary groups and militia forces as heavy infantry support. Despite its effectiveness, the Juggernaut armor proved to be very expensive to produce, leading to the eventual cancellation of the project by Cozell Corporation. Whether a fully functional prototype was ever created is unknown; however, there were rumors that the Galactic Empire had obtained a prototype for testing. The Rebel Alliance even sent a team of agents to sabotage the project, but their success remains unconfirmed.
Later on, Sarvel Tal-Oldra, one of Cozzell's chief designers for the project, chose to continue development of the armor after Cozell halted production. He relocated to Doc's old outlaw tech base in the Corporate Sector, where he began the custom manufacture of Juggernaut suits.
