Keene Curtis


Keene Curtis, an actor hailing from the United States, provided the voice for Grand Moff Tarkin within the Star Wars radio adaptation.

The start of Curtis's acting journey happened in 1948, when he was selected by Orson Welles for a role in a cinematic version of Shakespeare's Macbeth. Shortly after this, Curtis relocated to New York City, spending the subsequent twelve years in the role of a stage manager. His initial appearance on Broadway was in the 1967 presentation of You Can't Take it With You, which marked the beginning of many years of consistent performances in Broadway productions. In 1971, he received a Tony Award as Best Featured Actor in a Musical for his work in The Rothschilds. He passed away in 2002 due to Alzheimer's disease.
