Ket was a planet found in the Ket system. This system existed within the Hapes Cluster, specifically in the Slice region of the Inner Rim. This world was located along the Lorell Route hyperlane, connecting it with the Daruvvia and Lovola systems. The Great Dalvechan Deserts covered its terrain, providing a home for succulent plants like the stillar cactus, and were prone to powerful sandstorms. This region was also the origin point of the Ketton, a sentient mammalian species. By 2 ABY, at least one Ketton, Derrida, had left the planet.
The first mention of Ket occurred in Alliance Intelligence Reports, a sourcebook released in 1995 for Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game by West End Games. Later, in 2009, The Essential Atlas positioned the Ket system, and consequently Ket itself, within grid square O-9.
