The Kudana, a species of herd animal, originated on the world of Rutan.
Valued for the metallic luster of their hides and the flowing, silken hair adorning their shoulders, the Kudana possessed skin of remarkable durability. This skin found utility in crafting armor, garments, and even furniture. Attempts to cultivate Kudana populations on other planets proved unsuccessful. Reaching heights of nearly two meters, their bodies were composed of formidable musculature. Their large maws contained flat teeth, perfectly adapted for pulverizing wood and grasses. The Kudana were known for their immense physical power, and they wielded sharp hooves both as a defensive mechanism and for excavating roots. Hunting of the Kudana is permitted only to an exclusive group of hunters, and only at a steep cost. Prone to panic, the Kudana would stampede when frightened, obliterating anything in their path.
