The Lancet Aerial Artillery represented an Imperial aircraft design, drawing inspiration from both the TIE Series line and the Lambda-class shuttle lineage.

Lancets combined the twin cylindrical pods found on the TIE/sa bomber with the Lambda-class shuttle's distinctive flat-bodied, tri-wing structure. These aircraft were equipped with a potent proton beam cannon, positioned centrally at the front of the main body and angled to maximize effectiveness in ground assaults. The tri-wing design also integrated the solar array technology utilized by TIE fighters. Furthermore, they included a pair of anti-aircraft weapon systems for self-defense.
Mirroring their counterparts in space, the absence of combat shields left them susceptible to anti-aircraft fire from laser and mass-driver cannons.
The Lancet possessed the capability to inflict substantial damage upon stationary ground installations. Nevertheless, its weaponry proved to be less efficient when engaging moving targets.
